Butterflies

Just A Chorus

Explosions
This series was inspired by a song called “Colors” by music artist, Halsey. The song compares a relationship to mixing colors, expressing how each partner is affected by the other after the breakup. Having gone through an upsetting breakup in the fall of 2015, I found myself writing my own lyrics in order to cope. I wanted to create images that went with some of these lyrics. Using the inspiration from “Colors”, each screenprint uses a color palette of red, blue, and purple, and is meant to resemble vinyl record covers. The prints that belong to my songs also feature handwritten lyrics.
